Company History
Fontenelle Nature Association (FNA) is a federally designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that owns and manages Fontenelle Forest Nature Center and Neale Woods Nature Center, both located within the greater metropolitan area of Omaha, Nebraska. Founded in 1913, FNA is one of Nebraska’s oldest conservation organizations and one of the largest private nature centers in the United States with over 2,000 acres of forest, prairie, waterways and wetlands along the Missouri River. Over 90,000 visitors walk our paths, trails and boardwalks each year, including nearly 30,000 children and adults who participate in our formal environmental education courses and activities. FNA is designated as a National Natural Landmark with the U.S. Department of the Interior and is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites.
