Midland Scientific, Inc. is a full line distributor of laboratory products such as chemicals, instrumentation, general lab supplies, glassware, and much more. MSI primarily serves the agricultural, educational, food, industrial, and research markets with a sales force that covers the entire United States. We have locations in Davenport, IA; Rapid City, SD; Denver, CO; Omaha, NE. The Omaha location is the corporation's home office.
MSI has shown continual expansion over the years in a highly competitive environment. We have achieved this uninterrupted growth by offering quality products, same day shipment, helpful and friendly sales and customer service representatives, and competitive prices.
Company History
Midland Scientific was founded in Omaha, NE on April 1, 1975 by John Gondring. The company's objective was to meet the needs of industrial and commercial laboratories in the upper Midwest. A year later, John was joined by his wife Maggie and they opened a warehouse and office in Davenport, IA in 1977. The Gondrings owned and operated the business until it was acquired by the current owner, Vivian Pappel, in 2007.
MSI has since opened up two additional locations in Rapid City, SD and Denver, CO, built a 10,00 sq. feet addition onto our Omaha warehouse and office as well as added an e-commerce website for customers to have one more way to shop and buy from us. We continue to thrive and grow each year due to the excellent team we have at MSI.
